Have you all seen the movie 300? I love that movie! It is a bit gory but I love the fire, spirit and pride of the Spartans. One theme throughout the movie is bravery. It's also the word I have chosen this year: BRAVE! When I thought about a word for the year, I thought about not being afraid. Not being afraid to market and grow my business. Not being afraid to open myself up more (I am a very private person) and not being afraid to cut some people off if necessary! I also thought about how to not be afraid which is to be BRAVE. There are so many stories in the Bible about bravery. From Daniel in the Lion's Den to David facing the giant Goliath, it took faith, courage and bravery. Although we might not be fighting in a war every day, in a way we are. We deal with drama at work, unsettled home lives or even so many things pulling at the 24 hours we have each day. In the mist of all of this, we still have hopes, dreams and goals. We have to pick up the spear they used in 300 or pull out the sling shot David used to defeat Goliath and remember no matter what to be BRAVE in all things.
The definition of BRAVE:
Adjective: possessing or exhibiting courage or courageous endurance.
Noun: a brave person.
Verb (used with object): to meet or face courageously; to defy; challenge; dare
I hope this encourages you throughout the year. I hope my posts are inspiring, real and fun!
